What it does: It's formulated with an emulsifying trio that works in tandem to plasticize hold, allowing strands to stay in place with just enough flexibility, while a micro-emulsion structure gives the formula a beautiful clarity and glass-like solid texture. It provides a high level of shine without any silicones.
How to use: Apply to damp hair. Comb through and let air-dry. Touch-up dry hair has needed.

Bumble & Bumble makes the best hair gel for my short haircut; even before the pandemic and lockdown, I looked for a product that provided strong hold, body, and shine. I used to use B&B Sumo Wax. When that was discontinued, I was disappointed but soon found that Sumogel was even better.

Super tight hold
I like to wear my hair in a tight pony when it starts to get too hot for it to be worn down in the super. I strive for the immaculate pony look that you might see the Kardashian’s wear and this product is superb for that. No flyaway and super easy to apply. I love the cool color too although that doesn’t really matter much haha!

Great hold
I towel dry my hair, then use B&B prep, comb and style my hair then work in the Sumogel. I finish it off with B&B hairspray.

Such an improvement on gels of the past
As a child of the 80s, I have horrible memories of what hair gel used to be like - crunchy and messy and sticky. As a result, I have been a little scared to use them but a friend recommended this for use when you want a slicked back ponytail. It is such an improvement on gels of the past although it took me a few attempts to discover the right amount to use (too much and your hair looks the wrong kind of slick and wet). It holds hair in place but doesn't feel heavy or sticky.

First this smells really nice, I love the packaging, I love the name and I love how it works. It doesn't flake, it's strong hold and makes my hair smells amazing! If it was cheaper I would probably use it more often but it is what it is, take my money.

it works!!
This sumo gel does what it says. Holds hair for specific styles for hours. I like that it keeps my hair in place. It is thick so you have to work it in your hands and warm it up some because it can be difficult to spread. Great for sculpted looks and piecing hair.
