How to use: Apply powder foundation and concealer where needed, or for all-over application, start in center of face, blending outward. Use sponge side for moderate coverage. Use smooth, velvety side for buildable, fuller coverage. Use pointed tip to spot-conceal.

Light and do not need liquid foundation
I typically order my Lancôme liquid foundation but I thought I’d try something new this time around and Clinique did not fail. I used Beyond Perfecting Powder this first time around and absolutely loved it! It was super light on my face so it didn’t feel as if I was caking on makeup and to top it off, it felt better than any liquid foundation I’ve put on before, my skin is oily by the way and I finally found a product that doesn’t make it worse.

Heavy and Cakes
This product is heavy, cakes and accentuates my pores. Also, the color Vanilla should be consistent from product to product. I wear Vanilla liquid foundation so ordered Vanilla in this product and it was really dark.

Too orange
So disappointed. The texture and coverage was exactly what I was looking for, but none of the light skin tone colors looked remotely natural. Please, not everyone wants to look like they have a fake orange tan.

Clinique powder foundation
This powder foundation does seem to cover nicely as a powder. It's not as thick as I thought it would be (not creamy at all# so was a little surprised by that. If you're looking for full foundation coverage this powder wouldn't be for you as it's more powder-like then foundation-like. For example, if you had several marks to cover up then I don't think this would do the trick. I would use a standard foundation instead of this to cover blemishes/marks. This is a nice powder however, and I use it as that #not as a foundation).

not for me but maybe for you
Clinique perfecting powder in alabaster seems to be a decent color match for me. I was worried that it would be orangish or that it would oxidize, but it hasn't on me. I'm a redhead with pale skin so I have a hard time finding a foundation that doesn't make me look too white or too orange. It is a little too matte for my skin. I have extremely dry skin and powder brings out those flakes to focus. I think this product is more for oily skin like most powders are. The coverage is decent but not phenomenal. I feel like you have to use a lot of product for coverage of acne. the more you wear the more dry it looks. its a good light weight coverage for oily skinned people.

I love this foundation! Goes on smooth with either the sponge enclosed, or a brush. I have very sensitive skin, and this doesn't make me break out!
