Belted Water Resistant Longline Coat

The Dark Terracotta color is absolutely stunning! As a Deep Autumn, I’ve been searching for a darker neutral trench. This one is on par color and quality-wise with the Burberry trench of a similar color. Unfortunately, this specific trench doesn’t work for me for technical reasons. I’m 5ft5 hourglass with a short waist and a large cup size. I’m typically a size 12/14, L or L/XLP for tops. On my figure, the belt hits horribly low. If I were to pull up the belt to align with my waist, there is excessive fabric bunching up in the back and under the arms. The body of the jacket is very long on my frame, hitting below my calf rather than below the knee. The bust of the jacket doesn’t button on my body yet the arms were incredibly roomy. As a professional image consultant, I’d recommend this coat to anyone who is at least 5ft7 with balanced proportions and either an inverted triangle (without a large cup size) or hourglass figure.

The thread on all buttons immediately started to intensely fray and now they’re about to fall off. Day 1. Disappointed. In fact, I’ve never seen anything like this on a garment or jacket. So I have to bring thread and needle on my work trip or will be losing a button soon! I feel like that could be avoided with better quality control. Otherwise I love the coat.

Delivered with buttons literally hanging on by a thread. The button holes were frayed and the coat had snags all over I expected better quality from Nordstrom. As for the fit, I really like it and it looks so chic, very disappointing about the craftsmanship. Its material is lightweight and works well with layers. I got the Petite Small, it’s a tad longer then I’d like but not a problem.
