Band Collar Velvet Button-Up Shirt

This is a beautiful button up blouse with a banded collar done in a gorgeous velvet that drapes well. I am 5’10” and typically wear an 8/10 in tops. I bought the small and it fits beautifully. It is a versatile and elegant piece that I will wear a lot. On me it hits slightly below my hip bone as far as length is concerned.

This shirt is well-cut. I ordered the Meteor colour. It is fitted nicely around the shoulders, gathered beautifully in the back, then it hangs loose at the bottom, with the side slits elongating the legs and creating movement. The sewing is well done and the velvet is just gorgeous. The only thing that threw me off was the colour. It isn't a neutral grey. It has a strong magenta tint to it. Once I noticed it, it was all I could see. I am not sure I would pair this particular grey with black (most of my bottoms are black). I'm still on the fence about keeping it. It's beautiful, but it may not work with most of my wardrobe. For sizing reference: I ordered in in XS. I'm 5'7," 115lbs. I'm an XS in EF tops and XXS in EF pants.

Purchased the burgundy color, 1X, fits TTS. Soft velvet. A couple of issues. There is a seam across the upper back on the inside that does not lay smoothly and rubs a bit on the skin. However, I wore a soft tank top underneath, which solved that problem. After wearing the top to work one time, I noticed a spot on the front that was discolored (like a dried water spot) that appeared at certain angles. I held this up to the light and there are several tiny "pin pricks" in various areas of the fabric. Not a normal part of the fabric weave. I do like the top and hope that these don't become holes, especially at this price point.
