lip saver^™ Lip Balm

I've used Aveda Lip Saver for over 15 years now, and I must say that from the moment I tried it, I haven't found anything that compares or comes close to the emollient-rich, non-greasy formula. I can literally put it on before bed wake up with it still on my lips. It doesn't evaporate even through 21-hour flights in the driest of airplane cabins!

This is by far my favorite lip balm. I admit, I am addicted to Chapstick and lip balm products. I literally have 7 in my purse because I'm always buying new stuff to try. I used to love the original Chapstick brand lip balm, but my sister bought this and let me try it and I was hooked. It is without a doubt the longest lasting lip balm I've ever used. It is so rich but not sticky or goopy. Other like products like this are so thick they will break me out around my mouth or feel too sticky. Not this! I usually am reapplying Chapstick every 30 or so minutes...this lasted me an entire flight from Minnesota to Alaska (5.5 hours) with only applying it TWO times! Worth every penny!!!!!!

I ordered this product because I like most of the Aveda products but I was not as pleased with the lip balm. I normally use Philosophy "Kiss me tonight" but apparently Nordstrom no longer carries this product. I am going to keep it but will not order it again. Product does go on easily but does not feel as if it lasts very long; you have to keep re-applying. I would recommend this product as it works somewhat.

I am ecstatic that I have finally found the perfect lip balm!!! I have tried at least over 30+ lip balms in my life, no joke! Whether if it was burt's bees, chapstick, bath and body works, carmax, you name it, this one beats every single one! Yes it is pricier than normal lip balms but it's honestly worth it. You waste money on the other ones anyways. This balm hydrates and repairs but doesn't add shine which I love since I'm a guy. I love the scent although some don't. It's an odd scent, but it smells soothing. Anyways, I think it is the perfect lip balm and the dispenser is unique. Thanks Nordstrom & Aveda!!!

I have been using this Aveda Lip Saver since it was $6.00 a tube, then $8.50......now $15.00! I just purchased it in January, 2024 this year and paid $12.00! This huge jump is crazy, especially since it does not moisturize the same way as it did few years ago. As another reviewer noted, the formula now dries out the lips somewhat and I have noticed that side effect also. Years ago, carnauba wax was higher on the list of ingredients and beeswax was in the formula. They removed the beeswax years back and carnauba fell down in the hierarchy of ingredients. Carnauba is a fantastic wax but very expensive so go figure. This price point now is just so disappointing....especially with the drying effect. This Lip Saver used to stay put, not dry out lips, and truly moisturize, but not anymore and Aveda should note this. I have learned with Aveda products.....save the bottles, tubes, boxes because ingredients change so often and product efficiency is not the same. Ex: Shampure shampoo....I used to LOVE the scent and how it worked. After the last product overhaul by Aveda I quit using it. Product was completely different and they lost a customer (and others according to reviews on their website). Aveda please listen to your customers!!
