Ava Button Front Midi Skirt

I wear a 0-2 in Madewell so I figured a 2 would fit. I ended up sizing up to a 4 and it’s still extremely tight on the waist. Sadly not comfortable. I am very short and it definitely seems much longer the bigger you go so I’m reluctant to size up again. Waiting for the matching top to arrive before I decide whether to keep or return.

I didn't think I'd come to love a green skirt but here I am. This skirt is a beautiful shade of dusty teal that makes for a very neutral bottom. I could wear it with almost any color, I love the cut, and the fit is almost on point. Heed the comments that tell you to go 2 sizes up. I could remove 1 inch less around the waist, but it doesn't stretch very much so it barely clears my thighs. I agree with the others that the material is a bit too thin for it's price value and it wrinkles extremely easily. As a fan of rayon, I know it is more prone to wrinkling, but this is excessive. But I would like to praise that the sewing is very well done. Regardless, it's very hard to find a long skirt that I like, is not black or white, and will go with almost any color top. So I'll consider this skirt a win in my book :)
