My Favorite New Tea Kettle
I bought this at my wits end. My family loves tea, but they have ruined numerous tea kettles both expensive and inexpensive through the years. They all had one thing in common - some part that was plastic/rubber and susceptible to melting when left too long on the stove. I chose this kettle for a couple of simple reasons. First of all it has no plastic or rubber parts that could melt off. Secondly, the base is sufficiently large to cover the whole burner on my gas stove, so no flames leaping up over the sides when the impatient aforementioned family turns the heat up to high. Finally, it is an attractive kettle, and generally speaking, stainless is not that difficult to clean, so it can sit out on the stove ready for action. I do not mind if we have to use a hot pad to handle the kettle when in use. It's better than having a cooler handle that melts under pressure.

Huge Kettle
This is a huge kettle. It's pretty, but it's one of the pieces that are made in China, so if you're looking for one that is made in the US, this isn't it.

It boils water, but...
With the price of kettles being what they are, I wanted something that would last. Looking to replace our Circulon Stainless Steel kettle that has lasted 20 years, All-Clad's reputation swayed the vote. I was willing to concede the light weight of the steel and the sealed base. (ciculon body was one solid piece). The "whistle" is weak, however this is no longer a concern as the mechanism sprung off when I was closing the spout. So now the spout is open but it does boil water . Expected better design as well as better quality! Disappointed.

Shiny teapot that I wanted to love
This teapot is beautiful out of the box and dresses up the stove top. However if your stove is as busy as mine, this teapot needs to be polished everyday in order to look it's best. The whistle is bright and loud. This teapot is good for pouring water for tea, but if you want a slow pour for coffee, the spout dribbles and splashes.

beautiful but too big
This is a solid, nice piece. Unfortunately I will need to return as it is too big for a permanent spot on my stovetop. My fault for not checking the size more closely... I only make a couple of cups a tea at a time so no need for a larger one. Would recommend if you need to boil a good amount of water at a time.

Great Tea Kettle!
This tea kettle doesn't leak or overflow while heating up. It seems to have very even heating on my flat top stove. The spout allows easy pouring without spillage. The surface looks good and is easy to clean.
It was a delight throwing my old tea kettle in the trash!
