a trace of the true GAT exists in the false GAT
Get yours early, these are almost certainly going to be the next ubiquitous low-top. Adidas certainly seems to think so too, with some of their collaborations on this model. Nice quality, cracked leather gives it an aged look that feels more refined. The inside of the shoe upper almost feels pillowy. The sole itself feels similar in comfort to Gazelles. Very subdued branding feels like a plus. Also, they look like the GATs. Pearl clutching fashion-snobs will tell you GATs are higher quality. Certainly not 6x better. Just walk really fast if you’re adverse to confrontation. Or confront them and explain that actually Adidas and Puma (founded by siblings) first made the model for the FRG during the Cold War, so the GATs are actually the fakes. Then, lowball them on Grailed.

Very comfortable except...
I love the look and feel of this shoe, very cushy and comfortable, however, the tongue of the shoe is long and touches the ankle. Normally this is not an issue, but because this tongue is leather and stiff there is no give. It will rub continuously causing a blister. Too bad, as the shoe itself is cute and comfortable. I really wanted to keep them, but back they went.
