'Dior Forever Skin Wear Blurring Natural Matte Foundation

Dior Forever matte was my go to 5 star foundation. This new formula with skin care ingredients feels heavier, my oil breaks thru faster and breaks up the makeup and also gave me whiteheads. Just awful. Was able to get a couple of bottles of the old formula but after that I don’t know what I’m going to do.

I completely agree with the previous post regarding the reformulation of this tried and true foundation, which I have worn for many years. I stopped by the Dior counter for a sample of the new formulation, and, while the shades seem to be consistent from the old formulation to the new, the longevity just is not there, despite claims to the contrary from the Dior rep. I have always used a SPF sunscreen under foundation, and the old Dior Forever formula worked beautifully over the sunscreen. Perhaps the sunscreen I use accounts for the fact that the new formula did not wear well for me at all. It looked very matte upon fist application, but then looked shiny after 5 hours. Dior, Clinique, Charlotte Tillbury, and Armani have all reformulated their long time proven foundations, and, in my estimation, none have actually "improved" in any way. I won't be buying the new Dior formulation. Be sure to get a sample before buying a full bottle!

If you know me, you know I usually stay away from foundations because I hate when they settle into my pores. I am sooo picky about my base, and I´m strictly Team Matte. I know everyone raves about Dior Forever Skin Glow, but I stayed away because of the glowy finish. I wanted that same quality in a matte finish, and imagine my happiness when Dior delivered! I am obsessed with Dior Forever Skin Wear! Let´s talk pores: they are basically invisible. It doesn´t settle, and it never looks like a "cheap mask". It´s a genuine second-skin finish - polished and blurring. I´ve tried dozens of matte formulas that get cakey or patchy after an hour (and yes, I know all the skin prep tricks!), but this one is different. I was shoked to find I didn´t even need a 10-step prep routine to make it look good. It´s as lightweight as a skin tint but with a perfect matte payoff. If you´re tired of being disappointed by matte foundations, the search is over. Dior heard us and said "Amen!"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this Dior foundation it’s gives me a hydrating natural looking radiant glow. I personally use a brush and it’s very easy to blend. It’s a a lightweight medium coverage foundation with SPF making it a perfect foundation for spring and summer. There is a light scent that disappears very quickly.
