Synthetic white sole = casual
The gold flat is chic. However, the white synthetic sole makes it decidedly casual, not suitable for a formal occasion, and not worth the price. I purchased these for a wedding and will have to return. Also, this runs slightly large, so I suggest sizing down if you're between sizes.

These are very pretty and fit my narrow heel well. No gap at the instep area so they look great on. Love the subtle garnet color. Nice traction on the soles.
