I upgraded from Converse's "Chuck Taylor All Star Lift Platform" which I think is somewhere around half an inch shorter than these platforms. I love how comfortable these are. For the Lift Platform, I sized down 1 full size and for this Double Stack, I only went half a size down. Looks good wide or straight leg jeans and very lightweight + easy to walk in. My personal peeve is that I don't love the white stitching, but it can always be colored or dyed. I bring that up because the Lift Platform has black stitching and it looks much more streamlined.
