Wide Shaft Wally Boot (Women)

The footbed has zero cushioning and the sole is this so you can feel every rock or uneven cobblestone underfoot. For a $495 boot I expected some comfort. Since the shoe runs slightly small (length) and narrow there is no room to add an orthotic. The shaft is perfect for athletic calves, however. On the positive side the color and style of this suede boot is spot on. The mahogany brown is gorgeous and will go with so many colors.

I was SO excited to think that I’d finally found a boot with a shaft tall enough to reach my knees, but sadly the shaft in these boots is 17 inches at most, not the 18 3/4 that is written in the description. The boot also runs quite small and narrow. I am generally a 10.5/11, so I ordered an 11.5 (41.5) based on the reviews, and the boot is still quite small. Even in a 12 I don’t think there would be room for my toes. It’s a gorgeous boot and feels very high quality. If you have narrow feet and aren’t 5’10”, I’d recommend them!

I’ve been debating these boots for quite a while and I am so happy I pulled the trigger! The standard fit of these are too tight for me and I am thrilled at the calf size and look these give! If you were between sizes, I recommend sizing up, which is common for me, and the toolbox is snug, but after about five wears, I have found them to be incredibly comfortable. I will probably get a grip sole added to the bottom.
