Allen Edmonds shoes never disappoint. Have been wearing them for years.

These are good quality shoes, but they are not comfortable even though it seems to be a good fit. I thought they should be broken in by now, but after 4 months they still hurt my feet and I just dread putting them on. I am probably going to donate the most expensive shoes I have ever purchased to my local charity.

I recently ordered my first pair of Allen Edmonds Raymond Derbys from Nordstrom, but unfortunately, they arrived with several flaws all on the left shoe. The right shoe looks perfect, but the left one has a deep two-inch scratch, a scraped edge on the front sole, and a heel that sits unevenly.There was no paper wrapping or stuffing inside the shoes, and the shoe bags even had some dirt on them. Not a huge issue by itself, but it does make me wonder if this pair had been tried on or returned.The Nordstrom rep suggested I bring them in so their shoe-care specialist can take a look, but that’s about an hour’s drive for me just for an inspection. They also offered to order a replacement directly from Allen Edmonds, but the color (mahogany) is sold out both at Nordstrom and on the AE website.Since this is my first pair of Allen Edmonds, I really wanted them to be right.

It's so comfortable and the fit is perfect that I don't experience any gaping on the side of the shoes by the ankle. Purchased it in black after trying it on in museum brown only to learn this shoe has been discontinued.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the look of these shoes. The last is more narrow across the bridge of the foot. I normally wear a 65 last or a 108 last, D width. These shoes did not fit me. D is too tight across the top of the foot, E is too loose at the ball.
