very cool shoe and feel, but
I have been looking for a Birk with a more burlier sole. Another Birk brand, Petula, used to make one with a very similar sole design. So thrilled they are making some "off-road" Birks. The sandals are rather heavy. Feel like they are made of tire rubber. I guess the heaviness and the stiff rubber will take some getting used to. Not sure yet, but I do love the look.
