Love these, but order a couple sizes!
Received these as a Christmas gift and I absolutely love them. Neutral enough to go with everything and I don’t want to take them off!
I will say one thing about sizing and I hope this doesn’t let lost amongst reviews saying to go a 1/2 size up - I’m a medium width 6.5-7 and a 37 in most European shoes (Chanel, YSL). My shoes always feel slightly tighter after a long day/flight so I tried these on at multiple times throughout the day. The 36 felt a little snug in the toe box but did not slip out of the heel. The 37 was more comfortable out of the box but too long overall and because of the built-in wedge, my heel kept slipping out to the point I was considering thicker socks or an adhesive heel grip.
I went to my local Nordstrom for a try-on opinion (shoutout to Sasha at Short Hills) and was advised to stick with the 36. Italian handmade leather is meant to stretch and conform to your foot, and I’m happy to report that after 3 days of wear around the house, I’m glad I sized down. There are so many different recommendations on sizing out there that I truly recommend ordering both sizes if you’re in-between and don’t be afraid of an in-store opinion (I felt super safe). Good luck!

so uncomfortable
So tight and hard on your feet. Could barely walk in them. Absolutely beautiful and I really wanted to love them. But the most uncomfortable sneakers I have ever worn. Would not recommend.

first pair of GG
Ok so this is my first pair of GG and I love them! I have been wanting a pair of the superstars so for long and finally pulled the trigger. Zero buyers remorse here! They go with everything. I have a feeling this won’t be my last pair. I will say I was very torn on which size to get... I am usually and 8 1/2 in most shoes but in certain brands such as Adidas ultra boosts I wear an 8.
I ended up getting the size 39 (their version of a 9) and the fit is great. If I had sized down, they would’ve definitely been too small!

First pair of GG
Before I ordered, I went to Nordstrom to make a return and asked the sales associate if they had any GG in stock. I was able to try on a few different sizes and this helped a lot! I had my heart set on this color combo so I didn't end up walking out with any shoes but I did walk out with knowledge. First time out of the box was what I expected. Having tried them on in the store I knew they were going to feel hard and stiff. For the price and how much everyone raves about them, I was expecting a cloud-like feel, not rocks. It took me a couple of weeks to get used to them but now they're all I wear. As far as sizing, my feet range from a 6 in ballet flats to a 6.5 in anything with socks. I ended up with a 6 in these because a 7 was just too big for me. I've been waiting to write this review for a few weeks to see if I'd love these shoes as much as others and I can honestly say that with some time they are my favorite pair of sneakers and they go with everything.

comfort???
I really want to like these but after 3 wears I still find them very uncomfortable. Sort of like walking with cement bricks on my feet. I tried the hairdryer trick too. How long before these shoes soften up?

Cute but
These legit feel like bowling shoes. This is my second pair of Golden Goose but considering the cost and the barely passable comfort, I think I’m just gonna send them back. Yeah they are cute but over priced bowling shoes…

Perfect FOREVER shoe, or maybe not....
Okay let's not tip toe around the massive $ in the room. Are these shoes worth the price? My opinion YES and NO
reason NO-if you are the type that likes to change up your footwear on a yearly or multiple times/year basis, then probably not.
reason for YES- They are lasting-I like to find a good items that work and just love the heck out of them.
These tick many of my boxes
-they are unique
-they are ethically and sustainably made
-They can slip on quickly
-They go with literally everything!
ARE THEY COMFY?
Hmmm, well I still haven't tested them on a full day on my feet. But so far running quick errands or short walks they haven't been 'uncomfortable.'
They are definitely MORE comfy than converse (more space in the toe) but not quite as comfy as my adidas superstars that i've had for 7 years. But we'll see over time. i'm still happy I got them.
SIZING
I'm still a little confused on the sizing. I read that you should order a size up since they come in whole sizes.
I recommend measuring you foot, and going off the Golden Goose size/measuring chart. Because i ended up sizing down, and thank goodness I did.
Also something odd, I got 2 pairs, different styles but both Superstars, both the same size and one pair is bigger than the other..... But they still both work...just something to note.
REFERENCE:
I'm usually a US 8 in sneakers and running shoes, 7.5 in heels and open toes.
I ordered the 38 in golden goose
