We believe we have a responsibility to serve our customers over the long run by doing our part to address the immense issues facing our planet today. Through our goals, partnerships and new initiatives, we're moving faster on environmental sustainability with more ambition than ever before.
Nearly every part of our business has an impact on the environment. By focusing our efforts on three key impact areas, we hope to make meaningful progress on the most critical topics. And because these issues require bold action that's only possible with cooperation and collaboration, we're continuing to partner with our customers, across our industry and with leading experts.
Our Goals for 2025
As our planet warms at an accelerated rate, we face a ripple effect of impacts, from large-scale shifts in weather patterns to rising sea levels, ocean acidification, animal extinction, food scarcity and more. We're focused on reducing our own impact while supporting greater systemic changes to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions.
Environmental Impact of Products & Services
From production to use and disposal, every product has an impact on the environment. We can reduce that impact by making better choices in all areas of business.
As much as 73% of the world's clothing ends up in landfills. We can reduce that figure—and ease pressure on natural resources—by prioritizing circular systems designed to regenerate materials at the end of a product's life cycle.
In service of our climate goals, we're partnered with Clean Air Task Force, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing atmospheric pollution through research, advocacy and private-sector collaboration.
To develop thriving regional economies around fashion and textiles, we're partnered with Fibershed, a nonprofit organization that develops equity-focused regional and land-regenerating natural fiber and dye systems, while minimizing carbon footprint.
To support industry-wide circularity innovation, we're partnered with FABSCRAP, a nonprofit organization that has pioneered a system to recycle and reuse fabric waste, creating an accessible materials resource for creative communities while reducing the fashion industry's impact on the planet.
